This is getting difficult to navigate.

It has been suggested that we lock the thread so that people can carry on discussing things in separate smaller threads - as Michael Purcell has started to do here http://www.bsacforum.co.uk/forums/sh...d.php?p=131289

I think the point has been well made that we're P****d off with the HL letter and the lack of responses to our comments on it.

Until such time as someone from council/ndo/ndc actually says something this is all just a waste of breath.

I don't see the point in updating ANY of the now multiple threads on the subject until we get some type of soddin answer...

I've taken to using 'unzoom' in my browser: Hybrid mode, hit CRTL - (minus) a couple of times until there's no horizontal scrollbar, click the first yellow post, and then CTRL 0 to go back to normal zoom, repeat as necessary. Works in IE & FF.

As BTS says, three threads will dilute the message, and maybe HQ will think we are "going away".

I agree...(except I suppose out of sight out of mind...)

Though I'm still not quite clear who is ultimately responsible for this fiasco. Obviously the NDO is the one that issued the statement, but I have read one post questioning whether the NDO had even been ratified for the year.

If this is the case, (and I suppose even if it is not as the NDO is responsible to Council) then Council are the ones that bear the ultimate responsibility for the damage this incident has caused to the BSAC reputation (and membership). As pointed out the handling of the event is the large problem, not someone making a questionable call in the first place. *GRRRRRR*
