Petrol Duty Petition
When VAT was reduced to 15% in January '09, the Chancellor levied an extra 2p per litre on fuel to compensate for the loss of revenue from the VAT reduction. Now that VAT has now gone back to 17.5% the petitioner and about 101,000 people think it's fair that the Duty is reduced by the same amount, ie 2p per litre.
