I have done a report about Marmaris in the Travel Club Section Here (http://www.bsactravelclub.co.uk/reports/turkey4.htm)

Worth looking around when you get there as there are lots of day boats mored up along the Quay every evening, about a dozen of them.

Hi Paul, I had read your report before putting up the post, but I was after a recommendation of a dive center really, and what site are good and which ones to avoid. Notes taken and thank you. I'll check the tread again before I go tomorrow, looking forward to getting wet again.

Cheers Roy:)

The dive boats are dive centers in their own right, they have all the kit etc on the back, they are not like a UK boat but big double decker bus dive boats.

There are also loads of fantastic restaurants along from the dive boats, if i went back i would check out the boats and where they are going the next day, have a meal while i ponder, then book up on the way back :)

I went with Nautilus in August, they were more concerned with the Discover SCUBA crowd. Rightly so as there were at most 4 qualified divers on the boat (other than their DM/Instr obviously) and >20 first timers. As a result, the diving is rubbish but it was £17 a day incl lunch they do collect you in the morning but you have to make your own way home. If you have £40 a day to spend (usual thing - it goes down the more days you book) I would heartily recommend European Seasports (http://www.europeanseasports.com) as their experienced divers go off in a boat from Defneli, about a 45 minute trip from Marmaris and they run a free collect/drop off service. Unfortunately I get travel sick on buses so only used them one day. Run by a lovely aussie couple from a gorgeous location with a staff that all spoke English - there was even one girl that got really excited when she saw my BSAC logbook and promptly declared to the throng that I was 'a real diver unlike you PADI freaks'. The fact I was on dives 1 & 2 since qualifying as OD six days earlier didnt cross her mind I dont think! The diving here was OK but not spectacular but like I said I was only there one day and didnt get a chance to talk my way into anything good.

It seemed everywhere I went all I got was rocks and sea cucumbers!
