I've just had both the TX40 regs off my twinset serviced and upon collection was given two bags of old bits that have been replaced during the service.
Looking at these bags of bits it is obvious that the contents of one bag show all of the signs of wear & tear plus build up of gunk on diaphrams etc. The contents of the other bag look quite clean and in good nick.
I am assuming that the bag of bits with all the gunk is from my long hose reg and the cleaner bag of bits is from my necklaced reg.
Is my assumption correct and if so would it be good practice to swap second stages every 6 months based on a 12 month service schedule. The idea being to give both regs the same ammount of work to perform between services.
At the moment I never swap regs on my twinset but was thinking (based on the above evidence) it may be a good idea, but would be interested to hear if anyone else does this.
I've tried to search the forums but can't find anything that relates to this specific issue.
