I currently dive in a 7mm uncompressed neoprene suit that I have had since I started diving at the start of the year. I get on well with the suit, but it was second hand when I got it and is now costing more in repairs than it is worth.

I have been looking at the Typhoon Seamaster suit or the Sports Components Outer Edge. Does anyone have any experience with these suits or could you suggest an alternative for a budget of around £500

HI,

I got a Typhoon Compressor (the compresed Neoprene version) from the Dive Show last March. If the Dive Show this Oct 07 is similar, I would recommend that you go along. There were no end of dry suits at Gr8 discounts. I ordered my Typhoone from Go-dive and it was made to measure for free. they also gave me a cracking discount. They had the full range to choose between - simply drysuit heaven.

Have a look at the northern diver clearance suits - I spent £500 and got a £700 quid hyper compressed neoprene CNX suit, plus a £100 undersuit and had the neck seal changed.
The link to them is in the top left hand corner of www.ndiver.co.uk
