SCILLIES LIVEABOARD 4 JUNE 2005


I have 3 spare places on a liveaboard to the Scillies. The intention is do mainly dive Wrecks for the week. The trip is being run by Bob Wheatley form Leeds BSAC 115.

Date SATURDAY 4 JUNE 05

Cost ?4450 based on 10 divers (?445 each) Deposit required to secure a place ?150
Full amount required one month before departure.

The boat is fully inclusive. Two dives per day and air fills. (Nitrox available by prior arrangement)
It comprises bed, breakfast, lunch and dinner (can accommodate vegetarians)
Tea and Coffee is complimentary

Min Qual Experienced Sports / Dive Leader

Boat goes out of Plymouth.
Boarding: For Scilly Isles - 6 Day/6 Night charter, board on Friday evening after 18.00 hrs.
Place: Sutton Harbour, Whitehouse Pier, The Barbican, Plymouth. (Next to Cap'n Jaspers)
Disembark: Thursday afternoon. (Times may vary).
Below deck the accommodation has 3 cabins, one 6 berth, and two 2 berth, each with a wash basin and hot and cold fresh water. There is also a shower and a separate toilet (sea head).

You're probably aware that the Scillies is very weather dependant, but we do our best to get you there.
We will dive on the way and on the way back - we'll find you wrecks along the Cornish coast. At the moment we're looking for those that aren't very well known to divers.

Wreck 10m in 40m SS Italia. 2792tg, 235`x 42`x 23.5`. Ran aground 11-5-1917 carrying coal. Bows in 40m, stern in 10m mostly intact.
Wreck 12m in 30m SS Plympton. 2869tg, 314`x 40.4`x 21`. Bows in 12m, wreck is lying underneath the Hathor. Ran aground 14-8-1909.
Wreck 10m in 40m SS Hathor. 7060tg, 472`x 61`x 28.5`. Stern in 10m over the Plympton. Ran aground 3-12-1920.
Wreck 6m in 10m SS Brodfield. 5685tg, 420`x 54`x 29`. Army supply ship, well broken. Ran aground 13-11-1916.
Wreck 19m in 30m SS Lady Charlotte. 3593tg, 349`x 50`x 23`. Intact but flattened. Ran aground 11-5-1917.

Wall 0m to 60m Trenemene Ledges. Superb rock wall in very exposed position, Seals often seen.
Wall 10m to 40m Bishops Rock. Rock wall with deep gullies covered in life similar to Eddystone.
Wall 0m to 40m Menawethan. Impressive rock wall. Favourite site to view seals.
Wreck 10m in 25m SS Askai. Engine & ribs recognisable, well broken. Ran aground 2-11-1875.
Pinnacle 5m in 45m Flat Ledges. Superb rock pinnacle covered in soft corals.
Wreck 20m in 50m SS King Cadwallon. 3275tg, 326`x 48`x 24`. Superb dive, mostly intact lies on steep rock slope. Ran aground 22-7-1906.
Wall 7m to 40m Deep Ledges, St. Martins. Steep rock slopes with deep gullies covered in soft corals.
Wall 6m to 45m Deep Ledges, Round Island. Rock wall plus a number of rock pinnacles. Good dive.
Wreck 15m in 45m SS Isabo. 6827tg, 422`x 54`x 27`. Lies on steep rock slope, boilers in 35m. Ran aground 27-10-1927.
Pinnacle 3m in 50m Rock pinnacle covered in soft corals, good dive in exposed position.
Wreck 10m in 36m M.V. Cita. 3038tg, container ship. In 3 sections, bows in 10m.Complete at the moment, subject to winter gales. Ran aground 25-3-1997.
