Pataya Liveaboards ?

Some friends are going to Thailand and I fancy a week with them and then a week on a liveaboard maybe to Similans. Unfortunetly they are going to Pataya not where I would choose to go but thought maybe a week there on the beer and a weeks diving. Don't fancy any of ther pataya dive sites so does anyone know if liveaboards head out from there to any decent sites or any other way other than having to get to Phuket ? Thanks

There are some boats leaving from Koh Tao. The divesites you'll visit are the same ones as on daytrips, but the advantage will be that you'll be there earlier. As far as I know, no liveaboards from Pattaya.

For the best diving you have to go to the Andaman side anyway :D
