Manado/ Bunaken

We are planning a trip late May/early June to Manado/Bunaken/ Lembeh Straits for 2 weeks.Making use of Singapore Airlines deals from London.
Has anyone any thoughts/ preferances for best places to stay and/ or dive. What about a live aboard?

Have you read the trip reports on these destinations - they might give you some ideas?
Also, get in touch with Steve Parry - <a href="mailto:steve.parry@bsactravelclub.co.uk">steve.parry@bsactravelclub.co.uk</a> - he's our Far East Corresondent and I know he has been to this area himself and is in touch with a lot of operators out there. Hopefully, he will see this post and come back to you - but do get in touch, he'll be glad to give you some more ideas.

Was on holiday there last September and had a fantastic time. As for recommendations - it has got to be Froggies on Bunaken. Max of 5 guests and 2 guides to a boat, so you are never crowded in the water. The food is good, the staff are excellent, the diving is fantastic. The accommodation is comfortable and clean, but the facilities are a little basic. The shower consists of a tub of water and a bucket!

Also on offer is a 4 day livaboard trip to Lembeh. The boat is a little basic, but the diving was superb.
