We have booked a boat to take us to Guernsey in June. If anyone has any information on diving there or Jersey or Sark we'd be very gratefull, especialy if you have any GPS marks. We like to keep our diving under 35metres with favorites being 20-30 metres.

It is a pity that our info on the Channel Islands is so thin. It's a fantastic diving area and really convenient for Brits so we should beef it up. I am on a promise from one of our more famous charter boat skippers and National Instructors to write us up a page on it. Would also welcome any info from local branches, and other divers who know the area.

Obviously we would love a trip report from you when you get back that we could add to our location page!!

You could try getting in touch with the local branches and see if they welcome visiting divers and are willing to share dive ideas.

Have a great time

Derek,

I have booked a trip for August out to Sark to dive in the same area/depths. The only book I could really find is this one:

<a href="http://www.matfieldbooks.com/wrecks.htm" >http://www.matfieldbooks.com/wrecks.htm</a>

Which is useful, although offhand I cant remember if it has the GPS marks in it.

I also spoke to Sark Diving Services, who were very helpful:

<a href="http://www.sarkci.com/" >http://www.sarkci.com/</a>

I dived around the Channel Islands about 10 or 11 years ago from the Maureen (Mike posts on these boards so may be able to help with more info) and can assure you there are plenty of dives in this sort of depth - and the vis is cracking!!!

Hope that helps a bit.

Paul

Hi Alison

Thanks for the input and you are correct I am finding it very hard to find info on the Channel Islands, especialy Sark.
I will certainly send in a report when we have completed the dives. We are currently using a skipper who has a little knowledge of the Channel Islands and can say we have had positive feedback from both Guernsey and Jersey BSAC.
Will update as soon as possible
