South England Sept 9/10 buddy/guide wanted

Hello,

I'll be in England in september and would love to try some local diving. On a different thread it was suggested I try the south of England (Plymouth, Cornwall, or Dorset, etc)
But most of the dive shops I've sent mail to have not returned my mail :confused:

Does anyone know of any trips on Sept 9th (sunday) and/or the 10th that I could get in on? Or any dive shops that could accommodate me (and answer their mail)
I'll be alone and would need a guide/buddy and also kit hire.

I think it is poor show that the shops havent bothered replying to what could be a paying customer. Is it a case that shops/dive centres can now be that selective about providing a service to divers?
