Free to a good home - RIB hull.

This is a 5.3m Humber Attaque, probably of about 1990 vintage. It has never been used, but the tubes need replacing. Humber quote about £2,700 for this. The story about why I have this is long and complicated......

The boat comes with an old, very heavy duty trailer, and there are a number of bits and pieces to go with it (console, steering gear etc). I also have a similar-vintage 80HP Yamaha outboard which I will consider giving away with the boat. The engine was running fine when last used, but the tilt/trim unit is at the end of its life.

Location is near Bath, Somerset. If there is anyone interested, leave a message here and I will provide you with contact details.

Aeromole,

I would be very grateful if you would consider me for the boat, I live in somerset and could collect it anytime! I would like to get it onto the water and use it as a dive boat support on the exe.

Please please please!!

Thanks

Whereabouts on the Exe Andrew? Just that it is not a river I would normally consider for diving :D

Hi Pete,

I also live near enough (Taunton) to Bath to easily come up one evening and relieve you of your part RIB and RIB parts.

My Branch has a Ribcraft 6.2 which is so heavily built that it is 1.7 tonnes on the trailer - too heavy to tow by even the soft-roaders that some of our members use. There are only 4 members who have suitable trucks, making it somewhat of a strain on the 4 who must always do the donkey work!

We were discussing the acquisition of a further, smaller RIB that can be towed by a standard Mondeo-size car but do not have the funds so to do.

If you still have your Humber and you consider us as appropriate benificiaries of your largesse, we can build it up over next winter and it will be getting wet with regular monotony next season. We will even invite you down to visit the underwater beauty of Lyme Bay in her!

Please PM me if you wish to discuss further.

Graham

Guys - thanks for the responses. I'm currently in contact with 3 interested parties, and I'll work down the list further if necessary.
