As the explanation page on BSAC says Cozumel is to the yanks what Sharm is to the brits..so isn;t that what makes Dahab the place to go now, I certainly liked its slower and less huge resort style. Same way the yanks and Canadian divers and savvy Europeans are now looking around the Riviera Maya for small interesting places to dive that aren't full of cruise ships being unloaded or loud US chain hotels.
