India --Goa Has anyone dived here?

Going to India next year...has any one got any experience diving these waters? Can you offer advise as to what wet suit required?

I asked this a while ago, when the general message was that because the viz is usually so bad, after a couple of dives there was no point in continuing.
The impression I got was that the only reason you might want to take more than your own mask and set of regs/gauges etc, and simply rent whatever else you need because it is simply not worth the aggro of carting it all the way there, was that you would have a genuine excuse for not bringing back a poor quality carpet at twice the price of the equivalent here.

Re Goa, i spent 6 weeks in goa when i was back packing and to tell the truth your get better vis in the thames. due to the extreamly strong tides, currents and the S**T beach its not worth trek, whilst i was there 20 people where sweept out to sea, save your money and go some where worth while like thailand :)
