Hi Lee,
As James says you should use 0019 for the branch number. I'm sad to hear that you didn't find a branch in the Hebrides - I have very happy memories of diving in Lewis with Harris & Lewis BSAC, have they disappeared now? If you want to get in touch with some of their ex-members please let me know and I will try to dredge up some contact details.
cheers,
Ben

No I think there still going but I am down on the Uists, so every where is to far away and unfortunately the BSAC club here folded after the army left.

I wish I could, but I am just a humble dive leader and only know of about 4 other divers apart from clam divers on the island, if I could I would as I know a few people who have asked me for a try dive and both my daughters wish to learn.

What is the 2411 e-branch? I live where there is no BSAC or other clubs on the Islands, or anywhere within several 100 mile's (maybe even 1,000's of miles!) so I joined BSAC direct. Obviously it is pretty difficult to get course etc. signed up lol:D

Hi Pauline. We set up this branch as a "virtual" or internet based branch. The idea is you can belong to it wherever you live. There are no branch fees all you have to do is cover any postage costs for your membership cards. Your BSAC fees still apply but you can get the instructor discount or advanced diver discount if you are either of those levels. This is cheaper than BSAC Direct and it also allows people to undertake or offer training (if we can get round the distance issues of course).
You are very welcome to join us if you wish.

I noticed from the website that you're an SAA club too. Does that mean if I join the virtual BSAC club I also get membership of the SAA side of things too and can renew my SAA membership?

Hi Steve. Poole Divers is an SAA club run by James. Le Bourg is the BSAC club we just pinch a bit of their webspace for free :D There's nothing stopping you joining both but the only connection between the two is James, the DO of 2411. You would need to pay BSAC fees and SAA fees in order to belong to both organisations. James (JamesW on here if you want to PM him) is the guy to ask - I am not, nor intend to be, a member of SAA.
