Hi guys off to Lagos in Oct was hoping someone has dived that area before and can give me some information on water temps and any good dive sites. found a couple of dive centres but nothing really on the sites to dive.
Thanks in advance Simon :)
I dived out of carvoerio along the coast from lagosa few years ago -wasnt a lot to see.It was a shore dive i did,all i can remember was lugging the gear down a very precarious cliff path.
good luck

Most of the diving is shallow 20m max mostly around 10-15 & not too dissimilar to the UK. There is a wreck in one of the further bays around there at around 40m (only myself & 2 instructors dived this). Not all dive centres there (and there aren't many) are set up to manage this sort of dive.
I contacted Dive Time (http://www.pt.dive-time.net/) in advance as I took out a rebreather, they were as accomodating as they could be for what i'd class as a holiday dive centre & i was solo.
I was plagued with bad vis the whole 10 days I was there & the wreck was more like a night dive. SMB is a must if the vis is bad & be prepared to shaparone a PADI O/W person if you don't want to have to surface everytime you get split up from the guide.
Like anywhere, prove your skills & you will be respected accordingly.
