We are planning to go diving in Galapagos in 2005 on a 10 day trip including Darwin and Wolf. Can anyone advise us when the best time of year is to go diving i.e. sharks, whale sharks, mantas more likely to be around.

There is some information of Page 2 of the Travel site. So if you'd like to go to bottom of page and key into Page 2, that will give you something.

Regards.

i too am trying to get to the galapagos for late feb. 2005 and have just spent AGES looking at stuff on the web, can anybody out there recommend a good company that goes to darwin and wolf but i don't need a hot tub! So i can live with a cheaper trip if possible. in answer to the whale shark thing the web page linked says...
"Diving is possible all year, however, the massive shoals of hammerhead sharks and whale sharks are most numerous from Sept-Dec - this is only relevant if you are going to Wolf and Darwin."

if you get any more info pass it on please :)

Went to Galap. in March '99

Booked flights on the Net to Miami.
Booked onwards with Ocean Voyages of California, American Airlines retn. to Quito.
Liveaboard was "Mistral" through Quasar Nautica, also booked by Ocean Voyages.

Excellent boat, 10-day itinerary Darwin/Wolf.

No problems with trip, variety of dive conditions, temps. 18 to 23 degs. No whale sharks this time of year.

I specified which boat I wanted, and the travel window.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
we have just booked with Maledives Scuba Tours www.scubascuba.com 10nights in October 2005 on board the M/V Deep Blue.

Regal Dive http://www.regal-diving.co.uk have five trips going in 2005 on board the M/V Mistral.

None of these trips are published yet on their websites, you would have to e-mail them and ask specifically for the details.

Good luck!
Sibylle
