Hi I am Andrews, when my daughter was young, she went through a period where she fainted several times. The doctors never really knew why and she seemed to grow out of it. Now she wants to learn to dive. Will this be a problem? Is any one know about it please reply me
Thanks in advance

Hi Andrew.
One the face of it, your daughter could be OK. However you really need to talk to one of the diving medical referees, there is a link at the top of this page.

Yes, get checked out. There's a lot of difference between a seizure and a faint though. I used to faint a lot as a child and a teen - low blood pressure - so did my dad. It stopped when I was about 22, but my dad was a fainter all his life. Ordinary fainting is something quite common in young people from what I can see and isn't necessarily an indication of anything to worry about.

Someone I knows daughter had the same thing, they spoke to a referee and was given the OK. You can not truthfully sign the medical self declaration without discussing with a ref and it is also good for peace of mind
