Hi there

Just found this forum as im looking to get into doing more snorkelling now summers on the way (hopefully).

My question is about snorkelling Newquay in Wales, been there a couple of times and its always looked fairly calm by the rocks on the left hand side of the beach. Anyone snorkelled here before ? was it good ? any dangers to look out for ?

Many Thanks

Hi
Welcome to the forum.
I haven't snorkelled in that area of Wales, but if you are prepared to go a little further there some excellent sites near Haverfordwest. I tried St Brides Haven last year and we found the a huge number of crabs. The red rocks look fantastic through the clear water. It is very clam and used a lot by divers for training dives- but is excellent for all levels of snorkellers.

Further along I've been recommended to try Martins Haven at the end of the Marloes peninsula. When we went the sea was too choppy to go in , but I'm told that it it is well worth the trip.

Good Luck
