I used to have one in the Nokia 3210 and it worked fine it would give the option on boot up of which sim to use.

I now have a phone you cannot put two sims in or the adaptor bit so am looking to go onto line 2 with orange- 1 sim 2 numbers for incoming 1 number for dialling out.

I have both German and UK SIM cards sharing the same phone. I had one of the things that you can put two cards into, and although it worked for a few months (just power cycle the phone to switch) it then died.

I now use it to keep the unused SIM card safe in my wallet!

One of those "line2" things would be great, but they won't do you a foreign line (or even another operator line) on the same SIM. Makes sense business wise I suppose...

I used to use that system and it works very well, you can (or could) make a call from line 2 but it was not as easy as making it from line 1.

The only disadvantage is it is not possible (was not? I was too stupid to work out how?) to switch off one of the lines. It would have been useful to be able to switch off line two when I did not want work to contact me.
