View Full Version : LOGO Competition

We need a logo designing for the 'Big REDS Bash' and are therefore asking for your help to design one.

The logo will be used on the merchendising, and embroidered onto Polo Shirts, beanie hats, and printed on our souvenir mugs.

My drawing and design skills leave a lot to be desired, and Simon Campbell is still using crayons. Therefore it's down to you to help us out.

The winner of the best logo design will receive a 'free' Polo shirt, and one of each of the items we decide to go for, with 'Their' design proudly displayed.

So those of you with artistic talents, and those without, give it a go and submit your designs to me. you can place them as attachments on here, myself and my colleagues in the HQ team will narrow it down to 3/4 entries and then we'll put them on here as a poll for you to decide upon the winner.

All entries must be received by 1st March

Thanks

Steve

Only one point.
If its for the web or printed stuff then fine, but if it's for
T-shirts or embroidery then this wont work. Needs a
simpler version.

Need to think what its going to be used for.

I wonder whether you could stretch to TWO prizes Steve ? :)

We are about to enable web advertising on the BSAC web sites, what we need are some BSAC space fillers... Ideally a 468x60 full banner, .gif or .jpg is fine, no more than 50KB please. That will be seen on the most pages, although just about anything from our current list on http://adverts.bsachq.com/standard.html will do! I will add them to our AdServer, they will display on several BSAC web sites when we have the space. Let me know what the alt text and destination URL is (ths forum?).

Steve's call as to whether he wants this, but I'll find you the space on other BSAC web sites to display a BRB logo.

Can you do a 'squared off' version suitable for a 125 x 125 button or even a 120 x 240 small vertical banner? (see http://adverts.bsachq.com/standard.html) For all of these we need to think web so that we can promote it. :)

Just to clarify, it's not trearddur bay, Anglesey, North Wales would be better ans there are many sites being dived.

We're going to be judging the entries for the logo competition at the end of next week 24th March.

Please keep sending your entries in. They need to be colourful, not too complicated, and appropriate, as they are to be embroidered onto polo shirts

Here's a plain version just in case the shark version is a little too tongue through cheek. I also got rid of the radial fill in the BIG REDS text bacause I'm not sure if that'd be embroidable.:)

just interested to see whats gonna be on your shirts...

Steve Pearson

Thanks to all those who entered the competition.

There were some fabulous entries, which were very clever and artistically done (if that's the right word)

The choice of winner was a difficult one, and it has taken the committee quite a while to decide due to the high standard of entries.

The winner has been chose and despite strong competition it was the original design from Paul Watts that was decided upon. The reasons were its ease for embroidery onto the polo shirts, and simplicity of design.

Once again, many thatnks for all the other entries, and Well done Paul

Steve,

I would have but was too embarassed!!... Seriously, I met up with some old acquaintancies, with the short breaks time seem to disappear.

They'll be another time I'm sure.

I'm very interested to hear your plans for 2007. Any thoughts??
