Yorkshire Regional Coaching Team are running a Practical Instructor Exam (PIE) preparation event on Saturday 22nd April 2006 at the new Blue Lagoon dive centre near Leeds (www.divebluelagoon.co.uk - under construction but gives some idea of the place).
If you have done your OWIC and are seriously considering doing your PIE then this event should help you on your way to a successful exam.
The day will include working in a group of 3 or 4 with an Instructor Trainer to do:
-Lesson plan critiques (that means you will have to have written some first)
-A session on group control and the use of a shotline
-A lesson to your fellow students (similar to the OWIC)
The event will be run at cost so for the moment I am saying £30 for the day ( am really hoping it will be less depending on numbers). You also will need to register at Blue Lagoon (for life I think) and site entry is £5 per diver and £5 per car so it is an advantage to cram 3 to a car!
