Get your local dive centre to become a BSAC school and teach BSAC fron there :-).

Hi Nicky
Looking at your profile, you seem to be living in California. Is that right? Well, it's a big state, but if you are in the San Diego area, we used to have a lot of members around there in the Delray area, in fact we used to have a school there because I was one of the instructors who came out and did the crossovers.

So, as Al says, if you want to teach BSAC professionally, you have to get your dive centre to become a BSAC Training Centre or possibly one of the other types of Dive Centre, in which case get in touch with Mike Clack mikec@bsac.com

There is of course nothing to stop you forming a BSAC dive club - they're very popular in California too. I've had some dealings with some (not BSAC) in the Laguna Beach area. There must be quite a lot of Brits living around there as well as locals.

You must be finding the diving on the west coast pretty different from Doha!!!! The memory of the first time I had to get out through the surf will long live in my memory :) Bricking it doesn't quite describe the emotion!

I know a couple of BSAC divers who recently moved to San Diego - One's AD and the other is DL, both OWI. Let me know if you'd like to get in touch with them, I'm sure they'd be keen to set something up with you.

Thinking about it, I know another couple of SD and a DL there too.
