Hi Jules. Its just great having a club (BSAC) with members all round the world. Maybe you could enlighten me as to why Farasan Divers appears to be located in Al-Kobar / Dammam on the Gulf coast when the Farasans are on the opposite - Red Sea - coast?

Farasan divers was formed at Khanis Mushayt. I was the first diving officer.

I dont know what happened. All the original members worked with BAe. Most of which have probably left Saudi now.

I left back in 1997.

I dived with them for a while in 2003. Work shifted from Khamis Mushayt to Dhahran, so if there are any of the Farasan Divers left, they will be there. Me, I left Khamis last year sold up and bought a dive centre in Thailand.

There are at least a couple of guys from Farsan Divers now diving with our club in Dhahran (BSAC 1600 "Groupers")
