Hi, I have a HSE Pro SCUBA (Part IV) qualification, BSAC Dive Leader and IANTD Normoxic Trimix qualifications and am looking for commercial work. I live in Plymouth and welcome any opportunities worldwide in both diving and surface cover. Thanks, Jon

Can you do PADI? There are 24 new jobs posted in the last 2 days on the PADI website.

Unfortunatly not, i only have PADI Advanced Open Water. Think i can do Divemaster from my BSAC Dive Leader/Assistant Instructor qualifications though. Hopefully going to do it as some point this year.

Hi,

i'm in the same boat, so to speak. But how does one check out jobs on the padi website? One has to be a PADI diver, correct?

Best,

Jonathan

Yes.

In fact you need to be a PADI Divemaster or above to get into the site.

You can do this two ways : Carry on with qualifying as a BSAC Open Water Instructor - you are nearly there !. Then attend a PADI IDC & IE to become a PADI Instructor . This way if you ever want a job in the Diving Industry you will have the best of two worlds. We will certainly put your application on top of the list if you applied for a job and I know most Professional Schools that offer both agencies will do the same.

The other way is to do a PADI Divemaster Course . Besides having a BSAC Dive Leader Certificate you will need to show that you have a certificate in First Aid and CPR valid in the last two years and Rescue Training . You need 20 logged dives before you can start the Divemaster Course and 60 logged dives before you can get the final certification . Once you are qualified Divemaster you may enrol in the IDC & IE . Further requirements for the IE will be 100 logged dives and need to have been diving for minimium 6 months .

If you need more information just ask.
