Advanced diver training

Hello All,

A group of us (3 or 4) at our club wishes to undertake Advanced diver training. The problem being we do not have a First Class Diver willing to do it.

Can anyone suggest a venue where we can do the lectures, or whether there is someone willing to come to our club to do the lectures, with a idea of cost?

We are based in the Manchester area.

First off, you don't need to be a FCD to teach AD training. AD +OWI can do most of it, although AD + AI is needed to teach a couple of the theory lessons and AP2 (I think).

Secondly, have you contacted your regional team? Several regions run AD days, so it might be worth dropping them a line.

Try contacting some other nearby branches. We don't have an AI in our branch so we "borrowed" one from another. You may also find other branches may have divers interested in undertaking Advanced Diver.
