A while back there was a PADI centre offering dives in the above. It's not everyone's cup of tea I know but I rather fancied a trip down there to dive and poke around followed by lunch and a few hours in the museums.

Does anyone know if diving is permitted at all there now, and if so, how one goes about it?

Thanks Roz and you're right, the article mentioned an outfit called Polaris Scuba who ran diving there.

I've been in touch with them but it seems it's no longer posible to dive there at all :(

The diving at Chatham was stopped over a year ago.
