Does anyone know of any clubs with their own pool (integrated in or near their club house) in the UK?

Yes, we have (St Albans SAC (http://www.sasac.co.uk)), why do you ask?
It's very large, unheated, unfiltered and too shallow to be much use for diver training but good for swimming and pool parties in the summer including the annual "It's A Knockout" competition.

What's involved on the insurance side?
Do you need to take out any special cover?

As far as I know, we are covered by BSAC insurance as well as our own premises insurance. There is an element of liability - somewhere to drown in the summer and a 8ft deep hole to fall into in the winter. That has been covered by a risk assessment and securing the site to prevent local kids from climbing in when the site is unattended.
The main problem with it is the £2,000 worth of water and chemicals it takes to fill it each year. Some argue this is, literally, money down the drain as it invariably goes green and leaks away after a few months.
