Dived the Fortuna out of Brighton today off of Nauticat :) Balmy 9 Degrees and 5m+ of light viz at 33m :)
Did the Pier as a second dive, outstanding viz, at 8m we could see the surface with ease. A top days diving :D
There is a full Dive report here :) A Grand Day Out off Brighton (http://www.yorkshire-divers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=30333)
Hand Deeps and Scylla yesterday. 11°C in the water, only 3° out. Very chilly out but pleasurable in. Viz was stunning.

NDC the week before christmas, water temp about 9c on the surface.
Sea dive on Dec 28th and water temperature 10c. 3-5m vis, flat calm sea. Lovely except for the ice on the tubes and deck of the boat.
Air temps below zero so felt warmer in the water than the boat.
No reason not to carry on diving this time of year really.
Feb/March is usually the coldest time of the year for water.
27 Dec
All branch members and a few guest went for a dip in Loch Fyne.
11'C at depth, 10-9''C at the surface.
A good day's diving with a glorious sunset.
----
Called off last night's dive only because I might not have got home with the new snow fall, but looking forward to a dip tonight.

Babbacombe - Boxing day. 1 m viz, 9 degree water temp..

26 Dec - 8 divers from 2 clubs. Glorious sunshine, 20 m vis (true and I still can't quite believe it  ) water temp a balmy 17 degrees, but max air temp only got up to 19 degrees despite the clear sunshine.
Oh - and not a snowflake in sight :D to dampen the beach BBQ.
Cheers,
Tristan
Took the KISS for it's first UK dive in Vobster on the 27th, then first UK sea dive out of Plymouth on the 28th (with Woz).
Both days were brilliant. The smile is still on my face.

it was cold 2 degrees
You must be diving abroad, the coldest it's been in the quarries in the UK is around 6 or 7 degrees as far as I'm aware, cause I've been in several. Just how far north are you?
Still, going to try and get out to the Farns next week, could be interesting?

Nursing my ears following a cold. Just about getting there but not going to risk it by getting wet for maybe another month! If I get another cold it'll tae me another 4 weeks to shake off the ear blockage- I suffer with my ears!

I managed 25 minutes underwater on Boxing Day and 15 minutes at midnight last night.
Only 4.5 metres both times, water temp 5C and no champagne this year. :(

Just back from two dives at Stoney Cove with the Yorkshire Divers mob/clan/gang/group.
2 dives both 45 minutes, 7c quite warm, apart from yet another leak in the damp suit
Used a novel arrangement for me 15 ltr, 3 ltr pony and a 7 ltr stage. Worked rather well. However reg changing looked like a complex multiple choice test.

Keep the stage bottle regs stowed on the stage bottle and the rich mix on the right, it all gets a lot easier then.
If your Pony is behind you then stage rig that on the left so you have your light/low mix left, in your case i assume still a bailout, and the rich deco mix right.
If you have everything on the left and run the regs over and in from the right it does get confusing, but as i doubt you are using a scooter let alone have a spare scooter on the right its perfectly practical. Some people over-complicate the whole issue ;)

Boxing day snorkel race, Ok so not really a dive but it involved most of my dive kit.
Then on the Friday 30th an Ice dive in our local lake, a massive depth of 3.6mtrs but it was frozen over the top, so we where tethered.
Water was 2oC under the ice
