Anyone got any recommendations on companies to approach for getting insurance?

Divemaster does a BSAC members discount also

From memory if your travelling with Tony Backhurst their insurance is cheaper than Divemaster even after the discount

However that is without comparing like with like for equipment loss etc

Have you used both for protecting for medical costs when outside EU

Both do annual multi-trip which might work out cheaper if your doing a fair amount of non-EU diving (Channel Islands considered non-EU in this case also)
