has anyone heard of, used or can in anyway tell me anything about the jacket.
for referance i am 17 stone, 5,6 use a 7mm neopreane drysuit and carry around 30lbs of lead in sea water plus 2lb ankle weights.
now as a student i am on limited avalible funds for dive gear and as such i am trying to get reasonable gear which isnt silly money and i can guess at the price it inst likly to be that great from a long term durability issue but i can accept that as long as i get 2 years worth of use out of it im not that bothered
thanks for any help you can offer (also similar priced products which would suit me would help.)

The Cressi Aqualight R is a little flimsy and lightweight. It is an ideal one for a holiday BCD but I can recommend the Cressi Aquapro R. These are quite sturdy and several dive schools use them and find them excellent value.

Paul,
Perhaps you should reconsider, these figures are from Cressi http://cressi.it/intro.php?lang=us&id_catalogo=2&id_categoria=2&id_prodotto=314&m=scheda# and as shown the BC is rated for a maximum of 36lb lift
- Buoyancy in Newton: 75 (XS), 90 (S), 105 (M), 150 (L), 160(XL)
- Buoyancy in kg: 7.7 (XS), 9.2 (S), 10.7 (M), 15.3 (L), 16.3 (XL)
- Buoyancy in lbs: 16.9 (XS), 20.2 (S), 23.6 (M), 33.7 (L), 36.0 (XL) (values certified by R.I.N.A. according to CE standard 0474)
With your stated wieght and the lead carried I would not recomend this BC for your use. You need to consider the lift of the BC as well as price?
Hamish

Hi Paul,
Get yourself something by Buddy. £100 for a Buddy Commando on ebay and you're laughing - no matter how old and discoloured it is, you'll still get a thousand dives before it wears out. Buddy will even fit you a replacement bladder if required...
There are more subtlely balanced BCDs, more fashionable colours, more D-ringed straps... but the buddy will get you diving while you're short on cash.
Good luck,
Ben
