View Full Version : Diving in Aqaba
Having just worked out I have a few days spare while in Jordan next month can anyone recommend a good dive centre in Aqaba (Royal Diving Centre looks good but I cant find website or email address). I've had a look at the excellent trip report section but could do with a few more tips (ie accom and whom to go with).
Thanks in advance. Happy Xmas

Hi Chris
The Royal Diving Club has gone through some changes in the last few years I believe including a move to a brand new location about 18kms south of Aqaba. Looks pretty swish still.
Here is their web address

I also hear good things about Seastar
http://www.seastar-watersports.com/
Anyway, hope you have some luck and would be very grateful for a trip report plus any pix when you get back - we could do with some updated Jordan info.
Just email to me and I'll be glad to publish.
Fanx and Happy Christmas

Dear Allie,
Please tell me we were all the information/posts from the 'old travel club' forum/site went to. My good bud Les Carter replied in April 2005, to a very similar request, just after our return from a weeks trip to Aqaba.
It detailed how we got there, who we stayed and dived with, points of interest for non divers etc. I can 100% recommend RDC, they are so layed back as to be horizontal. If pushed for time,'2 to DO', Cedar Pride and Saudi Border but and it is a big but do it soon before Aqaba is buried under construction sites and oil terminals. Eat out at Ali Babas(scruff order) or Royal Yacht Club(Jacket & Tie)No chance of a bacon buttie though.
Will have a look through my logs and try and put something together.

Hi Alan,
I've just been into the old system to try to recover the post in question but I'm afraid since it is no longer really up and running it's a bit tricky! Rest assured, the data still exists though and will be imported into the new system soon - it's being worked on and should be in around the end of Jan. At that point all old threads will be visible here.
Ben (on behalf of the sysadmins)
EDIT: I've just managed to get the info out of the old forums in a different way. The thread in question is attached as a pdf file - hope the information you need is in there!

For the record this posting was such that if it had been framed as "this is our web site which might be helpful" it would have been left
