Just thought I'd say a quick hello and introduce myself. I've been a qualified diver now for nearly four years, currently a Dive Leader and Open Water Instructor which I have just completed in the last couple of weeks. Am also in the process of doing my PADI Divemaster.
I dive regularly in this country but much prefer the warmer climates (don't we all eh?)
Hope to see some of you out and about.

Cheers Paul

Hi Paul
I'm new on this site and also pretty new to diving - qualified PADI Open Water/Nitrox in September and BSAC OD in Oct but have had some good dives in this country and 10 fantastic ones the following week in the Med.

Since then I've done the 5 PADI Adventure Dives (which I throughly enjoyed, although my Nav needs a little work!) and am sitting my BSAC SD written exam this Tuesday coming.......any hints and tips would be greatly appreciated from one and all.

Think my diving may have come to a standstill for a while as I only have a semi-dry and last week at Capernwray was a tad chilly to say the least! I'll still be out and about doing some Marshalling with the club, so give me a wave as you launch yourself in.......I'll be the one that resembles a Michelin Man coz I'll be wearing everyones coats, hat's, gloves, scarves, wooly socks, vests............lol

Chris

Ha ha nice one u gonna have to get a dry suit as the waters going to get a lot colder.

Good luck with the sports diver exam, plenty of revision is the key.
There will be a few questions on the tables, as in dive planning what you can and cant do etc, you'll have to work them out from the scenarios they give you. Just read the questions thoroughly and work out on piece of scrap paper. There's normally a couple of questions on the definitions e.g ascent rate and CTC etc, dont forget these are in the front of bsac 88 tables so a couple of easy marks there eh.

The rest, my only advice is read the question thoroughly as in my opinion they can be a bit vague at times.

All multiple choice too, always a couple of answers that are silly and a couple that could be right so if u have to guess it narrows it down a bit.

Anyway good luck Chris and let us all know how you get on. :)
