Keith,
Several times now I have noticed that I am asked to log in again after a relatively short period of inactivity (guessing about 10 mins).
Is this set to a default time period? Can you make it longer for those of us that may have to look something up while we are composing a post?
Cheers,
Tristan

That's a problem with your local machine not accepting cookies for some reason - is that something you've done manually or have we got a cookie security problem that means they are rejected on standard settings?
Don't know what the timeout is at present but I see no harm in changing it to (say) 30 mins.

Huh?
I don't expect to be asked to log in if I didn't log out. I thought that was what the 'remember me' tick box was for.

Damn vBs timeout ate my post! Let me try again, saving to notepad before hitting the post button.
Hey - that's what happened to me when I was composing only I didn't put it so clearly. Keith I don't think anything is wrong my end with cookies.

OK - we could have a problem here! It has happened to me, once the other eve, but I was playing around with different ID's at the time and I put it down to me deliberately leaving the box unticked. The only thing we've changed recently that might possibly affect it is the change to auto thread marking, that used to be cookie based and now it's DB based. When it happened to me I logged in and my post was still there to send, I didn't loose anything.
If somebody has a few mins could they have a trawl through http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/bugs35.php (scroll to the bottom of the page for a filter) and see if it's a known problem with a fix. I'll put it on the 'To Do' list (amongst everything else:() but if somebody could come up with a link saying "here's the fix Keith" that would be great!
Cheers
