Kinlochbervie, in the far north-west of Scotland... Not been there before, but should be great! Any suggestions for sites around there? Will have dive kit in the car, but not sure how much diving we'll be doing!

Boxing Day dive in sunny Hong Kong! Water will be a bit chilly but the beach BBQ and traditional beach football game will soon warm us up afterwards :)
Merry Christmas!
Cheers,

Yeah, Tristan.... we really pity you.... and your sob story might have worked had not someone from another HK branch already sent us a trip report on a Boxing Day dive. BRRRRRR - those frigid 19C waters really send a shiver through us :)

19 degrees - Balmy. Wait 'til January it drops down to about 17.
Ah - but remember not many of you dive in a 3mm wetsuit in 19 degree waters in the UK  . Fortunately I've upgraded to a 5mm wetsuit in recent years :D . But it's still pretty cold getting changed with the air temp hovering around 12-14 degrees and the cold north wind blowing for all it's worth. Give me the UK with my 7mm neoprene drysuit any day over this - I can't really justify bringing the drybag over here for just 3 or 4 dives a year.
Anyway - enjoy your diving over the festive season.
Cheers,
Tristan

Tristan,
Our hearts are bleeding for you!!!! ;)
Have a fantastic Christmas - and do encourage some branch members to send us their trip reports. We have some from SCDC and it is great to get trip reports from overseas branches - really interesting.
Allie
Mrs G and myself will be enjoying the wonders of El Gouna this Christmas. We depart on the 23rd for a week. It will be nice to get back into my 5mm steamer after using the drysuit for the last 3 months.
Just actually back from Cocos Islands in Costa Rica - probably the best diving I have ever done. Hammerhead Sharks on every dive and even a whale shark.....

Cocos always delivers. I'm lucky enough to have enjoyed five trips there, and hope to go back. And SeaHunter is probably the best liveaboard for diving in the world.

You really know how to make yourself unpopular round these parts Soph. :D
Have a great Christmas, see you in the New Year.
