Not tried it yet, but our club's meaning to give it a shot.

I know that the York PADI shop Overland Underwater has used it, you could ask them.

Hi,

I have just come back from the Blue lagoon. Its a new site, at the moment there is not much to see but there is potential. The max depth is 5m and ideal for training. The lake is big, and the staff talk about deepening it in the near future. The Viz is good, and sediment settles very quickly. A Howitzer has been put in but not set in place yet and when the sediment is pumped out, there is a tank to go in.

For skills training, I wont be going to Capenwray again - only drawback is the depth (or lack of it!!)

I notice on their website that they offer the DSAT Tec Deep diver course. I presume that a great deal of digging is required to meet the depth requirement then? :D :D

Some of our club have been there a few times. The max depth I have recorded on my computer is 6.9 metres.

Any chance that someone could write a brief dive/trip report on this site for us? If you could, please email me at alison.boler@bsactravelclub.co.uk and send the text and any pictures you might have as seperate attachment files.

It would be great to be able to post up a permanent report on conditions etc there for everyone who visits our site.

Thanks

Allie

But the site is perfect for sorting out people who may need to tune up after an extended period without diving.

Also im guessing the fact they need people to pre-book for the use of DPV, means its ok for testing and learning DPV's.

I mean to go out their in a week or two, assuming i find me a buddy to join me.
