Hi All,

This is a really daft question:

I am visiting a friend in the Carribean next week and really want to go snorkelling - but i broke my hand las week and am in a cast.

Has anyone ever snorkelled/swam with a cast and if so can they recommend a means of staying dry....

..this will be snorkelling close to the shore and with friends....

Yes you still go snorkelling with a cast on. When I broke my arm about
6 years at our local hospital there were leaflets selling a waterproof protection.
What I ended up was it was like a long glove that went up to my elbow.
Heavy duty rubber in royal blue. Where the elbow was you had like a valve
that you squeezed and works the same way as a drysuit when it took the air out.

At the time these were about £15.00 also I was still going swimming with a
broken arm about 3 times a week. Still doing 65/ 70 lengths the only stroke I couldn't do was breast stroke. ok doing front crawl and back stroke.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

When you first use this you will need some help putting it on.
Streching the rubber after the 2nd or 3rd time of using it I could
do it myself and also best to use talc before putting on.

Plastic bag and rubber band can also work well!

Agree it could work. But it may leak slightly..
