The weather is always changeable at this time of year & I know some of you have not been able to go, due to the sea state & wind.
There is the potential for several specialist seal dives over the period 5-8th Jan (Thurs-Sun incl).
This will depend on you and how many divers are interested to go.
I was diving on Tuesday & the seals were excellent, water temp 9C and viz about 4m above 15m and 7-8m below 15m.
If you are interested in diving on a day during this period please e-mail me asap: bburville@hotmail.com
Obviously the weather will have the final word!
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. All payments direct to skipper.
Happy Christmas to all,
Ben.

James, After discussion with Steve we have confirmed Thursday 5th Jan.
WEATHER DEPENDANT!!
Inshore forecast on 3rd Jan & d/w the skipper.
The following days will be on standby and I may well dive them anyway depending on numbers interested.
You & Steve can buddy together if that's OK with you??
These are not your normal deep dives they are in fact usually very shallow (<10m!!).
Although on occassion the seals will play below 10m they definitely prefer to play in the shallows.
Expect longish dives of 1-2 hrs.
Viz is not so good in the upper 15m (about 4m) and you need to be patient!
BUT when you get a close encounter it's worth it!
See you then. If you can get any others interested from your end all the better.
(I know that people seem to pack their kit away after October!)
All the best have a good XMas,
Ben.

There are 2 places left on all three days.
Drysuits a must!
Warm underkit a must!
Pack the thick gloves!
These are specilaist seal trips. The aim is to get really close so if you like memorable u/w animal encounters or you are into photos then you'll probably enjoy. (please note however, that the viz is not as good as the summer)
If you think of these dives as "using scuba kit to get close to the seals" then you'll be on the right length.
You may find yourself very shallow! Some of the best encounters have been in less than 5m!! Typically expect to be about 8-15m depending on the site.
Weather as always will have the final say and final decisions will be made based on the inshore forecast on the evening 48hrs before combined with local knowledge.
You will be asked to sign a disclaimer to confirm that you will abide by certain rules during these dives (no dive deeper than 25m, no stage deco, no feeding seals or fish and that you understand there are risks including seal bites (although v small risk!) It will also ask you to confirm that you are "fit to dive".
Only 2 places left so if you wish to go e-mail me today bburville@hotmail.com
Cost £25 per person per day. Money to skipper.
Have a good, peaceful Christmas,
Ben.
