Hi everyone

Very good news.

I saw Prof.Pavord yesterday (respiratory consultant). I couldn't believe my luck when he said he was a diver (he's also asthmatic).

Anyway, long story short, I am cleared to dive.

I feel that I am very lucky in finding some-one that was prepared to look properly at my individual risk rather than use the 70% fev1/fvc as a black and white cut-off point.

I have a very unusual type of asthma and I think, from the enquiries I've made, that would have given me major problems with a standard medical with a dive referee.

I thought there wasn't a cat in hells chance of me being cleared for next week in Eygypt so I am over the moon. :D :D :D
