Hi all
Considering taking this course.
Had a look on the web but can't find specific details of whats involved.
What type of kit do you need?
Twin's, O2 clean cyinders, side slungs or is it just, use a 15l with pony?

I have dived Inspiration for 2 years. Can I do the course on this. I'd like to move to mixed gas, I notice I have to take the ERD to do this.

By the way there is 7 of us looking to take the course in April 07. We are in the Midlands and will travel

Cheers

ERD is an OC course. I don't think either you or the instructor can wear a rebreather.

http://www.bsac.org/techserv/rrc/rsdp.htm (Tables at the bottom).

The prerequisites for the CCR trimix course will probably be different to the OC trimix course. It might be worth dropping Mike Rowley a line.

As Janos said. ERD is O/C course for both students and Instructors.
I wanted to renew my Instructor ticket, but as I too now dive an Inspiration, I cannot teach the course on the unit.
But... Mike has posted about the new mixed gas courses and that you will be able to do them on CCR.
Looking forward to getting onto a course!

Hi Shaunzxr

ERD is an open circuit course and therefore not relevant to rebreathers. The pre-requisites for BSAC CCR mixed gas courses are CCR air diluent (mod 1) certification plus experience.

The required experience for the Advanced Mixed Gas course will be 100 dives. For Sports Mixed Gas the figure is yet to be fixed but will likely be less.
