Probably worth reading reports and looking at the pictures here http://www.bsactravelclub.co.uk/reports/index.html#seurope.
I have been in April and March, nice in a dry-suit, OK in a semi. Otherwise take everything you would need for UK summer diving

Hi James
I've listed the information in priority order as to what I'd do
1. Qualifications and log book ( you'll need these to dive)
2. Mask
3. Wet suit, hood, gloves, remember you cool down quickly on deco stops (I've used a dry suit in Cyprus in Easter to do 40m dives.(Also if you rent one people may have done things in them to keep warm.)
4. Regs
5. Fins
6. Line cutter
7. Camera
8. BCD
9. Torch
Remember to contact a dive centre before going as they have deals e.g. Moby Divers. Also airline as to your baggage allowance.
Enjoy your holiday

Hi
Im heading to Gozo in April '06, flying with Air Malta. I told them about the dive gear and they gave me an extra 15kg allowance for the flight! Result!!:D

Hi
I would go with BSAC school Calypso Divers in Marsalform (spelling?). George Vella is you man. Best is Dry Suit at that time, but he would have kit to hire to suit all sizes (wet suit). If the weather is bad, and you cant get in on Gozo, Malta is well worth a look and you and Lawrence Spangol at Strand Divers in St Pauls Bay will be you man. Make sure you can get out before you go in - failing on this one is at best well inconvienent and cause of a lot of call outs. The N and W coast of Gozo is magic. The Air Malta helicopter link to Gozo is affordable and gives a wicked view of these islands surrounded by the big blue sea. Enjoy.
Regards
Iain
