The BC should be fine - I had one a while ago, got rid of it now (use a wing and twinset now) but was good at what it did. A little heavy if you travel a lot (no more than many others though), but very well made.

Cressi X/S regs are what i use.:) they've been great to me and i've never ever had a single problem with them in 7yrs.:D 1st stage XS2 comes with the traditional Cressi AC2 piston model. This is a non-balanced first stage with such high performance that it can be compared to lots of excellent balanced models. The small number of components, the low weight and the excellent materials make it the strongest Cressi first stages, and the most steadfast to maltreatment, a real “working horse” amongst regulators. An ingenious bush system allows easy and rapid external regulation of the intermediate pressure. It comes in three versions: INT, DIN 200 bar and DIN 300 bar. Technical details The XS2 is an inexpensive regulator with high performance levels. Very common in countries all over the world it has many admirers because of its exceptional features - simple, strong, easy to maintain, light, combined with an exceptionally low price. The air supply system uses a side downstream valve that also acts as a pressure relief valve when needed. The valve orifice can be adjusted for perfect pressure and on the latest version the height of the lever is regulated, with the regulator under pressure, by inserting a special tool into a hole situated at one end of the casing. The poppet is made from chrome-plated brass and very light hi-tech polymers and enables the rubber seat to be replaced without having to disassemble the entire poppet system and without therefore having to recalibrate the regulator. An injection system channels a flow of pilot air to the mouthpiece, setting off a powerful Venturi effect, and considerably enhancing the performance of the regulator. A lever that acts as a flow deflector, situated in the upper part of the casing makes it possible to adjust the Venturi effect. When it is moved to (-) position it acts as pre-dive, for water to enter and for the initial phases of the dive, and when it is moved to (+) the regulator can then develop maximum performance.
