Hello each from a Yorkshireman :eek: now domiciled in Wareham in sunny Dorset :)

Been diving since '98, mostly via living in Oban for 5 years before moving south just over a year ago. Regular buddy is "She Who Must Be Ignored", aka Liz, the wife! We joined a local BSAC club this year and have thought about crossing over from our PADI qualifications but in spite of asking, no-one at the club seems too interested! :confused:

Hope to get back into some serious all-year diving now we're settled in but it has to be midweek stuff as we work weekends.

You don't have to cross over you know, it depends on you and the club, you're very welcome as you are :) If you're in a club that does a lot of training then it can be very worthwhile doing the cross-over, many clubs do the cross-over and then immediately put you on the training scheme for the next grade up - have a word with the Training Officer in your local club, see what they're up to and whether it's for you.

Did you not used to have the caravan park up near Oban?? Or I may be thinking of someone else?

Anyway, welcome to the new look forum, I'd badger the club about the crossover though, get friendly with an instructor and bribe him with a free lunch and a lift. :rolleyes:
