New to snorkelling in the Gower

Can anyone recommend any safe spots where I can start to introduce my 11 year old to snorkelling? Anywhere sheltered from an E wind?

I personally don't know sites for snorkelling in the Gower, but if you are prepared to travel a little further there are some excellent sites in Pembroke.

St Brides haven is an excellent site for all levels . When I was there in July we had excellent visabilty and saw lots of marine lfe. the rock is red sandstone and is very pretty.The site is shallow, Lots of kelp forest and rocky reef areas.
