Hi Steve,
There doesn't appear to be a direct equivalent and the reasons given are in the Tech Section publications.

I think as a BSAC Advance Diver you can en-role on the PADI Assistant Instructor.
Check with your local Padi Centre.
Thanks

You can enrol on a Divemaster course. It is normally BSAC Club Instructor of higher to enrol on an Assistant Instructor course. There are some exceptions and that would be one for PADI direct rather than your local centre.

Or get you CMAS 3*** Diver Card then enrole on the Padi AI course.
BSAC Dive Leader/CMAS 2** can enrole on the Padi DM course.
Thanks

Yes i know its an old thread but this should help:

http://www.padi.com/english/common/courses/crossingover/assinst.asp

(not sure if a link to padi is appropriate for this forum though!)
