TIE - North West

Anyone got any idea where the North West 'TIE' events are generally held ie. location and what time they normally start ? I'm looking to sit my 'TIE' but need to sort out travel times etc. from North West Lancashire.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Stewart

I'm the NW TIE organiser, the events are currently held at the East Cheshire SAC club house in Macclesfield.

They usually start at 0900 with the exam about 1200. If there are a large number of candidates we sometimes hold a second set of presentations in the afternoon. So depending on which group you would be in, the start time could vary.

I rang HQ today and found out the location. Apparently there are 7 so far booked in for the 26th. How late can I leave it before making the booking?
I will not know my availability til late Oct early Nov.
And what is the maximum number of candidates you can accept?

I think BSAC close the bookings 2 weeks before the event. Gives us chance to organise the agenda and groupings, and dispatch joining instructions.

Hi,

Has anyone done the TIE recently ? I want to know what presentaion medium students are using for their presentations ? By that i mean computer (Powerpoint) or just plain old simple transparancies ?

Any help would be appreciated ?
