Hi Admins

We have three calendars -

Members
Coaching & ITS
Main Events

Now the Coaching Calendar is obviously is controlled by the coaching & ITS admins, for the purpose of keeping track of ITS events. The Main Events calendar is for use by HQ. This leave the members calendar

Having actually put an event on to the calendar I am left wondering, it is unlikely that each member has a personal calendar? If not what do the powers that be expect it ot be used for?

Having actually put an event on to the calendar I am left wondering, it is unlikely that each member has a personal calendar? If not what do the powers that be expect it ot be used for?Calendars is one of the things we've got on-the-list for improving, it's just a matter of time and resources  If you go right to the bottom of the main forums list on http://www.bsacforum.co.uk/forums/ you will see your event listed in the global BSAC "What's On" Calendar (yes... improving the visibility of that is on-the-list!).

So... what we would like you do do is exactly what you have just done. All of you, all of the branches, the Members Calendar is your calendar. Club events (like xmas parties), spare boat spaces, branch SDC's... anything that you would like to share with other BSAC members and where you are inviting other members to come and join you.

So that's what it's there for Gareth, so that our clubs and members can advertise spaces and social events to other clubs, members and guests. HTH, but if you've got any other ideas then let's hear them, the "powers that be" are in fact YOU, the members - the entire forum system that you're using now has come about by gathering ideas from our members and then doing it - basically you get what you ask for (within reason of course!) :)

Just thought I should mention to those concerned, that someone has put the the dates for Dive 2006 on the 15th & 16th October. As far as I know, it's the 14th & 15th. I hope I am right, cause I have a plane ticket booked for the 14th.
