Anyone want any OD or SD training?

Will be at Blue Lagoon (A1/M62) on Sunday 10th Sept

Actually there will be me plus 2 ADIs - one of whom will also be doing a practise for his PIE

OK, anyone else want a practise for their PIE?

hi nick excuse my ignorance but what is PiE

PIE = Practical Instructor Exam. It is the exam assistant instructors who are DLs and have done their Open Water Instructor Course (OWIC) take to become practical instructors [1]. If they have passed the theory exam and the classroom lesson (combined at a TIE or Theory Instructor Exam) they become Open Water Instructors (OWI)

[1] The theory exam must have been passed first

Not exclusively a PIE practise day - there will be trainee ODs and SDs there aswell

So if you want to advance your OD or SD qualification then contact me

Have to say if i was free that would have been a mighty tempting offer. I only have my in-water practicals to do for my SD. Unfortunately, im anything but free, and will be dropping down Robbie Williams Stage at Roundhay that day. :(

I have to say i've almost abandoned any hope of passing SD, and am likely to use the padi RD route to getting it (which is good (because i like to see how the other side does things in comparison), and bad (it costs money)).

Oh well, maybe another time.
