oh, a hydrophone is an underwater microphone...
so if anyone knows of a store in liverpool or near liverpool that might have a hydrophone for sale PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know. thanks.

You could build your own

Failing that I got lots of hits on Google some of which were under US$300 although most where up to Ģ1000

Thanks for that Pete, but iīm not really the building kind of guy.... :( i read that link though and itīs a good one, but i just donīt have the skills required for building my own unfortunately...
and yeah, sorry but i forgot to say in my post that i have a very low budget, something like a hundred pounds would be my maximum, possibly a bit higher if i have no other options.
i did manage to find one i like for 79 euros on an italian site but they are on holiday and my experiment is due in two weeks.....
thanks for your input though, but i have actually been looking for this a lot for the past weeks, so my best chance to find one is if someone knows of a small store somewhere close to liverpool thatīs not on the internet or something....

May turn up in a couple of weeks if you buy online or contact them to see if they have a UK affiliate?
Site says:
Note: Shipping is by DataPost/EMS Postal Courier
which takes 3-5 days to most parts of the world
