I'm constantly bamboozled by the number of companies offering dive insurance and am never sure I have the best one. I've just had quotes from Westfield and Buddy which are comparable. Has anyone used either of these and if so, any comments?

Yes, just read about a chap who had all his gear stoled, must be gutted, I know I would be.
I have also been thinking about insuring all my gear as i've bought my gear within a year and is all new.
Please, any advice on how diving gear policys work and any good experiences of insurers most welcome.
Cheers:D

You're right, there is a bewildering choice and as someone who has recently taken out a policy you can be sure, they vary a lot! In order to select the policy that you think is right for you you need to study what are called the "Key Facts" documents and the policy terms. These must be provided by the company before you sign up (several have them on their websites) and they explain what you are and are not covered for and in what circumstances. If you have any doubts or questions then phone the company and ask.
