Our club just tried to launch 2 RIB's from Salcombe Harbour in Devon. Last year prices seemed reasonable for a day fee at around £5 for up to a 6m RIB. This year found out after arriving that in July and Aug they won't do a day rate but want 60 pounds for each boat over 4.5m for a years dues, then they charged extra to park the trailers and extra for the car. It does make a days diving rather expensive from Salcombe.:(

They used to have a "Monthly" ticket. But still a rip off!
There is a discount for "Local" people - living in the South Hams.
There have been quite a few "Ramp-Rage" incidents on the slip too, with idiots blocking the slip while it takes them 3/4 hour to launch!

Newhaven were charging £17.00 each Rib last year per trip. The year
pervious it was something like £10.00. We haven't used it this year so I
don't know how they are charging now?

We thought £17.00 was a bit steep.:(

Hope Cove is suddenly looking a lot more attractive!! I hear they have modified the slip entrance so reversing a rib down the slip is not such a monumental demonstration of reversing skills anymore!
